The Task
This school assignment gave us the task to study a few different artists and their unique style or a type of painting style. When we were done studying the artists and their styles, we were tasked to choose three of them and make self portraits using their styles and techniques instead of our own. We also had to draw in at least two different digital programs. The programs I used was Photoshop and Illustrator.
Process
The pictures shown above are the finished digital paintings I created based on the sketches below. Before choosing my final artists and styles I made a few initial sketches using other artists styles. After that I chose the style I liked the most and moved on to drawing them digitally using my chosen painting softwares.
The artists that I based my finished work on was Den Kirichenko, Mel Milton and Kasey Golden. Below are the initial sketches that I made that were inspired by Den, Mel and Kasey. I also included a few other sketches I made with other artists and styles as an inspiration. The other sketches were inspired by Adventure Time and Disney.
