We who work with Ezra care about the environment and the future. With our product, we want to engage the Swedish population in protecting their local environment and actively take the initiative to educate themselves about how today’s climate change not only impact the rest of the world, but also our beloved Swedish local environment and everyone who lives here.
– A paragraph from the webpage in which I present the result of my designprocess. the paragraph is intended to explain what ezra works with.
The vision and design intention for Ezra’s design concept is that the product should induce feelings and thoughts in its users about the environment. By placing users in an environment they are already familiar with and care about, they can create a strong relationship with places and become more affected by stories that are told.
By making the user relate more and feel more affected by information that is obtained through the product, we hope that Ezra will arouse an interest in knowing more about how the future situation will look and what the user can do to actively prevent the bad impact.
Ezra is a fictional company that focuses on providing people with information about the enviroment and how to help it. Ezra was created for a school assingment. This assignment was an AR project that focused on the theme Cli-Fi. The assignment was to create a cli-fi application with AR technology, that focus on informing its users about the environment. What I came up with was Ezra. Ezra is hebrew for “help” or “helper” and is a website dedicated to help inform users to the critical condition our planet and our environment is in.
Ezra was a long project spanning over several weeks. The entire process is documented on padlet which you can view here: https://digitaldesign.padlet.org/arndtsson/svfxcev30ipul0yy I really recommend viewing the padlet for deeper understanding of the process, unfortunately a majority of the text might be in Swedish. I also recommend looking at the designprocess, which I tried to summarize and document at the “official” website for the project. You can view the designprocess here: sandraarndtsson.wordpress.com/blog/
The result of the process can be found on this website: https://ezranatur.com/ where I present the assignment as a complete company and product.
Below is a few photos of sketches I made early on in the process to get inspired in the project.
